Reinforcing Mesh 


FLEXGUARD REINFORCING MESHES are balanced, open-weave glass, fiber reinforcing mesh, twisted multi-end strands treated for compatibility with Senergy Base Coats.

A variety of FLEXGUARD REINFORCING MESH types are available to meet the different requirements of impact resistance at specific wall locations.

FLEXGUARD REINFORCING MESH conforms to MIL-Y-114OG.

FLEXGUARD 4:
4 ounce/yd² mesh; rated as "Standard Impact Resistance" per EIMA Standard 101.86.
A single-layer application of FLEXGUARD 4 provides reinforcement for wall system areas not expected to receive abnormal abuse or traffic.
INTERMEDIATE 6:
5.6 oz/yd²; rated as "Standard Impact Resistance" per EIMA Standard 101.86.
A single-layer application of INTERMEDIATE 6 provides reinforcement for wall system areas not expected to receive abnormal abuse or traffic.

INTERMEDIATE 12:
11 oz/yd²; rated as "Medium Impact Resistance" per EIMA Standard 101.86. INTERMEDIATE 12 in combination with FLEXGUARD 4 yield a rating of "High Impact Resistance" per EIMA Standard 101.86.

INTERMEDIATE 12 is a versatile, intermediate weight mesh. While capable of being used for a complete single-layer application, it is often used in conjunction with FLEXGUARD 4 or INTERMEDIATE 6 to offer added impact resistance at specific areas (i.e. around doors or walkways).
STRONG 15:
15 oz/yd²; rated as "Ultra High Impact Resistance" when per EIMA Standard 101.86 when used in combination with FLEXGUARD 4.
STRONG 15 is a medium/heavy-weight mesh intended for areas expected to receive traffic and abuse. (It requires a continuous and lapped overlay of FLEXGUARD 4 or INTERMEDIATE 6.)
HI-IMPACT 20:
20 oz/yd²; rated as "Ultra High Impact Resistance" per EIMA Standard 101.86 when used in combination with FLEXGUARD 4.
HI-IMPACT 20 is a heavy-weight mesh intended for areas expected to receive a high degree of traffic and abuse. (It requires a continuous and overlapped layer of FLEXGUARD 4 or INTERMEDIATE 6.)
CORNER MESH:
9.0 oz/yd²; pre-marked for easy bending.
CORNER MESH is an intermediate-weight mesh for use at exterior corners when added impact resistance or clean, crisp corners are desired. An overlay of FLEXGUARD 4, INTERMEDIATE 6 or 12 is required when CORNER MESH is used.

Uses
SENERGY® FLEXGUARD REINFORCING MESH is required for use with all Senerflex® Wall Systems and Senturion® Wall Systems and Senergy Cement-Board Stucco™ Systems and for EPS shapes on Sentry Stucco Wall Systems that use either EPS or polyisocyanurate insulation boards and for use over EPS shapes on all Senergy Wall Systems.
FLEXGUARD 4 and INTERMEDIATE 6 are also optional reinforcing enhancements for Sentry Ultra Stucco and Sentry Plus Stucco Wall System.
SELF-ADHERING REINFORCING MESH TAPE is used with SENERSHIELD® air/water-resistive barrier as reinforcement over acceptable sheathing joints, rough openings and at terminations.
SHEATHING FABRIC is used with SENERSHIELD-R air/water-resistive barrier as reinforcement over acceptable sheathing joints, rough openings and at terminations.
