Creating a Sustainability Culture to Minimize Our Eco-Footprints |
|
|
BASF encourages all employees to implement sustainability practices not only in our facilities, but also at home. Our efforts come together under the theme iEco (I Embrace Conservation Opportunities), a program designed to help our employees understand and implement changes that have a direct positive impact on the environment. Each week, employees receive an “iEco” conservation tip.
“Green Teams” comprised of employees at each company location regularly introduce new practices that will contribute to a smaller footprint. These teams are also responsible for implementing company-wide actions, such as the robust recycling programs that have been implemented at our facilities throughout North America. We have implemented aggressive measures for reducing our solid waste and to divert as much as possible from landfills. These programs aim for continuous improvement and are intended to ensure that within our facilities we respect the environment and operate in a way that is least harmful to the environment. |
