Alpha Dry Base Coat 

ALPHA DRY BASE COAT is a dry-mix polymer adhesive and base coat containing Portland cement, and requiring only water for mixing.

The Importance of Using the Proper Notched Trowel with EIFS
Uses
SENERGY® ALPA DRY BASE COAT is designed for use as the adhesive and/or base coat in several wall systems from Senergy.
ALPHA DRY BASE is used with the Senerflex® Wall System to adhere expanded polystyrene insulation board to the following acceptable substrates:
  1. SENERSHIELD®
  2. SENERSHIELD-R
  3. Unpainted and unglazed concrete or unit masonry
  4. PermaBase™ brand cement board (or other ASTM C1325 Type A Exterior approved cement boards)
  5. Poured concrete/unit masonry
  6. Fiberock® Aqua-Tough™ sheathing
  7. e²XP™ by National Gypsum and GlasRoc® by Certainteed
  8. DensGlass™ exterior sheathing (ASTM C1177)
  9. Gypsum sheathing (ASTM C79/C1396)
  10. New and untreated Exposure 1 or exterior plywood sheathing (Grade C-D or better)
  11. Exposure 1 OSB
Note: Wood-based sheathing substrates require priming with SENERPRIME™.
SENERGY® ALPHA DRY BASE is used with Senerflex® EIFS, Senturion® I, II, and III residential EIFS, Senergy Cement-Board Stucco™ System and all Senergy Surfacing Systems to embed CORNER MESH and SENERGY REINFORCING MESH.
SENERGY® ALPHA DRY BASE will also adhere expanded polystyrene insulation board (EPS) to expanded polystyrene insulation board enabling the build out of architectural shapes and details.
